The Shield reunited yet again as the show-long storyline teased Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and a stubborn Dean Ambrose “getting the band back together one last time.”
The trio rejoined forces yet again after Ambrose saved Reigns and Rollins from a two-on-three beatdown at the hands of Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre.
Raw also saw Stephanie McMahon make a one-on-one match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte at WWE Fastlane where Becky Lynch will be added to the WrestleMania 35 main event. The show concluded with presumable heel Ronda Rousey (“damn your fantasies, screw the woo and no more Mrs. Nice [exletive]!”) making good on her promise to attack Becky Lynch—though she did so within the confines of the script.
Bolstered by Roman Reigns’ emotional, and pre-advertised, return, WWE Raw continued its string of ratings growth as viewership rose for the third consecutive week. The 2.992 million average viewers marked a 2019 high.

Opening Segment featuring Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and a Possible Shield Reunion
At this point, the only way Roman Reigns will successfully turn heel is if every one of his entrances take 15 minutes.
The dynamic of Philadelphia cheering on Roman Reigns is a strange one, but not an unfamiliar one.
When it’s all said and done, there will be more Shield reunions than Terry Funk comebacks.
If Dean Ambrose was wearing his protective Shield vest, he would have never felt the blunt force of Elias’ guitar.
Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin def. Finn Balor, Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman
I think I’ve heard the term “where the power lies” enough for the rest of 2019.
Seriously, WWE had seven days to come up with a nickname for this trio and the best they can do is “this is where the power lies?”
Natalya def. Ruby Riott
In the women’s tag team division, all women are seen as vying for the tag team titles. In the men’s tag team division, like eight guys want them and half of them would be totally fine if that didn’t happen.
This week I found out that not only has Dana Warrior joined the WWE creative staff on an interim basis, but WWE does, in fact, have female writers. So, tell me, how did the term “sassy southern belle” get cleared?
Stephanie McMahon recommending that Colin Jost “get to know WWE’s audience” was done in the same way somebody pawns off their annoying friend to an unsuspecting guest at a party. Of course, the WWE Universe is the annoying friend in this scenario.
Triple H Responds to Batista
Between Becky Lynch and Charlotte going back and forth, Triple H calling Ric Flair Richard Fliehr and Triple H insisting he is no longer the character, there are far too many shoot names being thrown around to keep up with.
Triple H’s apprehensiveness every time he gets a phone call about Ric Flair is similar to how nervous I get every time Flair trends on Twitter.
Triple H’s promo screamed relatable babyface, his suit screamed 2014 heel.
Heavy Machinery def. The B-Team, The Ascension and the team of Kurt Hawkins and Zack Ryder
This whole feud started because a couple of the guys called Otis overweight.
Renee Young confused Konnor for Viktor. Literally everybody who has watched wrestling since their main roster debut has made that mistake.
The goal of the commentary team throughout this match was to get over the fact that Otis if fat.
Elias is on to something with his “you know how I know I’m in Philly?” poems.
Elias must have met with Bill Burr (NSFW) with tips on how to really take down Philadelphia.
Elias’ gimmick is that he is alway getting interrupted, yet Dean Ambrose waited patiently for Elias to finish his song before coming out. Up to this point, Dean is still a heel.
The Shield Reunites
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins just rolled out new individual merch and now they’re already re-forming The Shield?
Dean Ambrose’s fist was more over than just about anybody tonight, including Becky Lynch’s Twitter account.
Renee Young casually talked about Dean Ambrose’s impending exit like everybody will understand these references. The most entertaining part was when she noted he’ll be moving on to “greener pastures,” and Corey Graves-McMahon shot her down by saying there are no greener pastures than WWE.
Tamina def. Sasha Banks
Tamina picked up her first one-on-one victory in lord knows how long and unfortunately nobody is going to remember it.
Braun Strowman’s love of firearms and Colin Jost’s left-leaning humor could actually make for a pretty intriguing feud.
If Jost was paying attention to this marathon Raw broadcast he’d know that pro wrestling is real—as long as Triple H is calling out Batista.
The Revival def. Aleister Black and Ricochet by Disqualification
This match had to be good. It literally had no other choice. It was on its way, but then it ended.
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Sign Contract for WWE Fastlane, Ronda Rousey Apparently Turns Heel
Last week, WWE ran over time. This final segment feels like the opposite of that
Given how long the ramps typically are at WrestleMania, the one-legged Becky Lynch might want to invest in an Irish go-kart.
After Ronda Rousey’s kayfabe-breaking tweets, I couldn’t wait to see her come face-to-face with Rebecca Quinn. Rousey more than delivered on that threat.
Ronda Rousey just cut the promo that Roman Reigns had been dying to cut for years.
